I have #17 as well. I too as worried that she wouldn't look good in certain things, but so far I haven't had any problems. I love her in the retired Heart Print Pj's, and they are pink. Really any outift looks great!

Do you have any outfits that you are wondering about particularly? I may be able to try them on her and let you know.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I wasn't nuts about the gray flannel school jumper. The karioke outfit is nice, but I don't think it's her best outfit, you know?

I'm also wary of getting anything pink. It's a shame, because I love the On The Go outfit, but I suspect that it really won't look good on her at all.

... but I'll probably snatch it up for Jess.

    Cool

IMHO (in my humble opinion) the urban outfit looks really good on dolls with red hair. Blue brings out the eyes on dolls with blue eyes, and I think the red goes great with the hair. I have a red headed AGOT #17 to be specific, and I'm always afraid to order clothes for her because I'm afraid something will look funny with her red hair. Can someone reccomend me outfits, retired or otherwise, that would look nice on this doll? There's a link to an album in my sig with pictures.

Taking pictures of a given doll in said outfit would be really nice.

Also, I heard that current red heads and older red heads are a different 'red' ... mine's 1996, which shade of red am I dealing with here? I have no red-headed Mattel dolls to compare her too.

I have that doll, but mine is Nancy Drew, you can see her in many of my albums! I mostly have her wear 30's and 40's era outfits. So Kit's collection and Molly's is great for her!

I also have Siobhan who is red hair green eyes and she wears anything as well, but just recently got her, so still seeing what looks great on her and what does not. Right now she is wearing Samantha's Tea outfit and she looks darling in it!

My Misty was a 1996 AGT with red hair and green eyes, until I rewigged her (she's the one in my avatar).

She looked good in pretty much anything, but especially good in things that were green. Your doll should look great in pretty much anything blue, but will probably look good in most everything.

Considering it seems like we got our dolls about the same time, my dolls' hair was not red at all. It was much more auburn. And the reason I got her a new wig (other than it being horrible when we first got the doll) was that her hair was exactly the same color as Mattel Felicity's. The color is fine on one doll, but I didn't like it enough for two.

I was really surprised when you said your doll had red hair, as from the picture it definitely looks light brown. I have also heard that the newer dolls have redder hair.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, it's "red," anyway. The picture makes it look browner than it is. You're right, it's really more of an auburn, but I think it's still red enough to keep it from looking straight brown.

I've seen some Felicities that are genuine carrot tops and some dolls that are less "red" than mine, which is why I ask.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Oh, I'm sure it is just the pictures making it look brown. I know most Mattel Felicity dolls look like they have brown hair, but I do think it's a very pretty brown-red auburn color.

We were very surprised when my doll arrived, as we were assuming "red" would mean carroty red. I still think the color is pretty, just not as red as I would have liked.

To help a bit more, Mattel Felicity looks good in dang near anything. I can't even imagine anything she wouldn't look good in, even with the GREEN GREEN eyes. Your doll seems to have, along with the lovely auburn hair, bright, pretty blue eyes, which should look good in pretty much everything you put her in .

Have you tried putting her in anything that you didn't think looked good?
